Service bulletin TSB220232-111720

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Technical Service Bulletin describes verification and resolution of being unable to meet desired Load Based Speed Control when updating Load Based Speed Control. Load Based Speed Control is not permitted to be enabled. OEM Load Based Speed Control is the master parameter and is password protected. When enabled, customer is unable to set their own Load Based Speed Control. Load Based Speed Control cannot be set higher than the OEM Load Based Speed Control breakpoint. Verify unable to meet Load Based Speed Control and is not able to be enabled. Verify OEM Load Based Speed Control is enabled in INSITE? electronic service tool. Use the recommended Cummins® electronic service tool or equivalent to find the current ECM code and revision number in the ECM. Compare the ECM code and revision number in the ECM to the calibration revision listed in the ECM calibration revision history for applicable changes.
