Service bulletin TSB220220-110420

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Technical Service Bulletin has been issued for cup plugs missing from the fuel drain line at the front face of the cylinder head. Root Cause: Debris plugging the fuel drain line at the rear of the cylinder head causing excessive fuel drain line restriction and resulting in cup plug dislodging. Analysis has consistently shown urea in these deposits, indicating diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) in fuel tank. Verification. Inspect the fuel drain line on the cylinder head for debris.
