# Service bulletin TSB 22\-2429

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10226936
- Published by NHTSA: 2022\-12\-02
- Manufacturer's number: TSB 22\-2429
- Manufacturer's date: 2022\-11\-10

## NHTSA's summary

Some 2021 F\-150 vehicles equipped with a 2.0kW Pro Power Onboard inverter system and built on or before 15\-Jun\-2021 may experience a Pro Power Onboard Unavailable message displayed in the center display screen and alternating current \(AC\) power outlet sockets inoperative with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) B1438:03 stored in the body control module \(BCM\) or DTC B15DA:09 stored in the BCM without observable symptoms. This may be due to various software parameters in the direct current/alternating current converter module A \(DCACA\). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the software in the DCACA. NOTE: A 2.0kW Pro Power Onboard inverter system is identified by the DCAC inverter assembly being located in the cabin under the rear seat on the left side of the vehicle. Refer to Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 414\-05 \> Component Location.

- [SSM 52078](/bulletins/10245391.md), 2023-11-21, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Some 2021\-2023 F\-150 vehicles may exhibit DTC U023A:08 after reprogramming the SCCM. Do not replace or reprogram the SCCM, image processing module A \(IPMA\) or their components for this condition at this time. This DTC does not alert the customer, will not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that will reprogram the IPMA and is expected in late December 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.
- [TSB 23\-2240](/bulletins/10240572.md), 2023-08-10, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:BODY CONTROL MODULE/BCM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2021\-2023 F\-150 vehicles may exhibit a no crank/no start with a battery draw and air conditioning \(A/C\) clutch engaged at all times. This may be due to an opened diode in the A/C clutch field coil damaging the output driver in the body control module C \(BCMC\). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the BCMC and A/C clutch field coil assembly.
- [SSM 51762](/bulletins/10238461.md), 2023-07-03, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM\(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM\). Some 2021\-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial units and not being able to change to metric. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module \(APIM\). This issue does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power\-Up software updates delivered over\-the\-air \(OTA\) expected in September 2023. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in September 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.
- [SSM 51759](/bulletins/10238450.md), 2023-07-03, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:BODY CONTROL MODULE/BCM. Some 2021 F\-150 vehicles may exhibit an inoperative bed lamp with B14D8:15 stored in the BCM. This may be due to the configuration of the BCM. To correct this condition, download and run the BCM \- Body Control Module \(BCM\) Configuration application in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\). For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor times in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.
