# Service bulletin 22\-01\-078G

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10225462
- Published by NHTSA: 2022\-11\-01
- Manufacturer's number: 22\-01\-078G
- Manufacturer's date: 2022\-10\-21
- NHTSA component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

## NHTSA's summary

Certain 2019 G70 \(IK\) vehicles equipped with a Theta 2.0T GDI engine may have a condition of no restart after entering Idle Stop Go \(ISG\) at a stop. This condition is caused by low voltage at the starter S\-terminal causing the magnetic switch to become inoperable. This bulletin outlines the procedure to remedy the condition by installing a gasket to the starter mounting area.

- [26\-EE\-003G TSB](/bulletins/11031401.md), 2026-04-21, Service bulletin: ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit difficulty starting in cold weather. This bulletin provides the procedure to perform an inspection on the starter magnetic switch for potential freezing and, if necessary, replace the starter magnetic switch \(solenoid\) assembly.
- [23\-EE\-013G](/bulletins/10247603.md), 2023-12-22, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This bulletin is issued to provide the extended battery diagnosis procedure using GDS. This battery diagnosis function displays the various battery\-related faults such as: • Internal short circuit • Battery deterioration • Malfunction of electronic parts • Insufficient battery charge • Normal battery • Charging defect Battery diagnosis uses the battery sensor history saved for the last 30 days and ICU diagnostic communication to track battery state of charge \(SOC\) and current parasitic draw history.
- [23\-EE\-008G](/bulletins/10235574.md), 2023-05-04, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:ENGINE CONTROL MODULE \(ECU/ECM\); ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. This bulletin addresses a condition of Idle Stop Go \(ISG\) inoperative not turning off the engine and provides information related to an ECU software update for improvement of: \- ISG operation in relation to the battery SOH \(State Of Health\) condition \(deleted as a criteria\). \- ISG engagement with satisfied battery SOC \(State Of Charge\).
- [23\-AT\-001G](/bulletins/10233543.md), 2023-04-04, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. When servicing a vehicle with a “Check Engine light” and any of the DTCs listed below, follow the Service Procedure to replace the related solenoid and E\-module or park position switch.
- [21\-EM\-004H](/bulletins/10190044.md), 2021-04-07, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. This bulletin provides the service procedure for engine connecting rod bearing clearance testing.
