Service bulletin LI63.20-P-075215

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Spots or presumed peeling off of clearcoat at roof frame panel and/or A-pillar trims, see picture Cause The issue in question is NOT the clearcoat peeling off. In the assembly process, too much primer has been applied to the paint or visible surfaces. Remedy NO replacement of parts is necessary, parts can be cleaned! 1. The seals around the areas of complaint will need to be, masked with tape. 2. Moisten a microfiber cloth with isopropyl alcohol and place it on the areas of complaint/spots for approx. 5 minutes to soak. 3. Clean/remove the spots carefully by firmly rubbing the area in a circular motion. When doing so, make sure not to damage the seals by rubbing too hard.
