Service bulletin 18-018-14
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 9003357 | 2024-01-02. Service bulletin. ADAPTER, Engine Oil Filter (Pentastar V6) For all 2014MY replace the Oil Filter Adapter (OFA). For any other MY (with mileage above 30,000) review and follow instructions from STAR Online S1809000007 REV. C available on Dealer Connect. Also, consider the following: 1) Remove OFA 2) Replace only the oil inlet O-ring and gaskets (seals kit in SOL above). 3) Re-install the OFA. For 2023MY and beyond use black O-ring. For 2022MY and prior use red O-ring. Note: When replacing OFA, it may be necessary to transfer the Oil Temp/Pressure Sensor from the old OFA to the new OFA. |

| 0801615 | 2023-01-09. Service bulletin. Poor Radio Reception This bulletin involves replacing the satellite antenna if needed. A customer may experience, SXM (Sirius/XM) radio has intermittent muting. This occurs in areas where XM signal is degraded and cell signal is very weak. The condition happens when the optional vehicle internet connection through the cell network is in use with the internal vehicle Wi-Fi. This Symptom/Condition Only Applies To 2014-2015 KL Vehicles: A customer may experience a popping noise when listening to AM stations. |
| 0807117 | 2022-10-24. Service bulletin. This bulletin involves inspecting and updating the radio software, if required. A customer may experience one or more of the following conditions. Navigation Failed? message is displayed. Navigation is inoperative or inaccurate. CD player will not play songs and/or locks up the radio. Clock will not automatically update to local time. Clock may be off by several hours. (RA3 Only). HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL vehicles). Some Uconnect App remote commands do not execute with the vehicle. Radio Apps are inoperative. Adds Apple Siri® Eyes Free capability for iPhone® owners. Auto Play can now be configured. Radio will lock up. Radio display screen is black or blank. Battery drain - due to radio remains on. HVAC temperature out of sync with radio display (KL vehicles). Track names may be displayed twice in USB or SD media modes. SD, USB or BTSA modes may become non-functional for a given ignition cycle. Duplicate song titles may be displayed in USB mode. Last track is displayed but next track is being played. Navigation function may reset itself after using One-Shot VR. Intermittently the Global Positioning System (GPS) may lose its location for a short time and causes routing and positioning concerns. GPS and Internal cellular device may become inoperative and causes a loss of GPS and cellular functions. A false Pop-up message may appear. | 9003704 | 2022-09-26. Service bulletin. Transmission Oil Pan, Heater (TMU), Tube or O-ring Applies to vehicles equipped with 8 speed transmissions only; if you have a leak that appears to be at the pan the use of proper leak detection is recommended. The fluid in the 8 speeds can be detected with a black light and there are aftermarket spray on leak detection materials to help ensure that the leak is properly diagnosed and not from another location such as cooler lines, heater tubes, or case porosity. Please note that the transmission pan gasket is available for many of the 8 speed applications FCA offers. Please review the available quick connect and transfer tube parts, as replacement of the TMU may not be required. If a TOC line connection is found to be the source, the quick connect may need replacement. If the leak source is coming from the connection of the TMU to the transmission, the transfer tube may need replacement. When parts are returned to the QEC the retaining clips (snap ring) for the quick disconnect fittings are missing. (This leaves a question as to whether the clips were missing from the assembly plant, or the technician removed them in order to make line removal easier.) Please return the clips with the transmission heater and note if they were not there to begin with. For any questions regarding transmission heater, contact FCA Redacted Content. If no response in 15 minutes, proceed with repair. |

ECO mode will not retain settings. If ECO mode is turned off, it will turn back on after the ignition is cycled. ? 3-2, 2-1 Shift bump on deceleration. ? Less than desired shift quality during hard acceleration. ? Excessive shifts during cruise control operation. ? Intermittent delay shift condition. ? Less than desired engine braking during downhill descent. ? Manual gear selection improvements at higher altitudes. ? Less than desired driveability performance in 4 low. ? Hesitation improvements. ? Inconsistent and/or harsh 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 upshifts at moderate throttle. ? Inconsistent and/or harsh lift-foot upshifts. ? Inconsistent and/or harsh coasting 3-2, 2-1 downshifts in Hi or Lo range. ? Ratio fault detection during 1-2 upshift or 8-7 downshift. ? Grade hunting (repeated shifting while ascending a grade). ? 8-7-8 shift busyness when approaching max vehicle speed. ? Undesired gear selection at high altitude. ? Undesired gear selection when driving downhill (not enough powertrain braking). ? Time to exit TIP (manual/paddle shift mode) takes too long. ? Unintended downshifts driving at certain speeds. ? 4-3 coasting downshift may cause excessive engine noise during engine braking. ? Shift hanging when vehicle is started cold. ? Undesired shift toggling in Manual/Paddle Shift mode. ? Lo range selec-speed control 1-2 shift busyness. |
