Flash: 2.4L Powertrain Diagnostic and System Improvements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination or one or more of the following conditions. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set in the PCM memory: 2015 UF Vehicles with (Sales Codes ED6, ED8). ? Improved vehicle acceleration. ? P0480 - Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit/Open. ? P0456 - Evap System Small Leak. ? U0402 - Implausible Data Received From TCM. ? Engine Startup Flare and Idle Surge. ? P2172 - High Airflow/Vacuum Leak Detected. ? P1D73 - AGS Performance. ? U0140 - Lost Communication With Body Control Module. ? P0441 - Evap Purge System Performance. ? P0116 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Performance. ? P050D - Cold Start Rough Idle. 2015 PF Vehicles with (Sales Codes ED6, ED8), built on or before July 24, 2015 (MDH 0724XX). ? For any other MY review and follow instructions from the latest STAR Online S1809000007 available on Dealer Connect. Also, consider the following: 1) Remove OFA 2) Replace only the oil inlet O-ring and gaskets (seals kit in SOL above). 3) Re-install the OFA. For 2023MY and beyond use black O-ring. For 2022MY and prior use red O-ring. Note: When replacing OFA, it may be necessary to transfer the Oil Temp/Pressure Sensor from the old OFA to the new OFA.
