# Service bulletin 08\-023\-13

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

The customer may experience when using the Navigation system, it shows their vehicle in the wrong location. This is caused by the GPS system locking in on 3 or less satellites, which is due to Electromagnetic Interference \(EMI\) blocking the satellite signals. Also the Navigation system is not getting the proper distance traveled from the ABS module. The system needs to have a lock on 4 or more satellites, to function properly. Replacing the radio will correct this condition. The Navigation system needs proper distance traveled to calculate vehicle location when the satellite signals are blocked by mountains or large buildings. Updating the ABS module will correct this conditions.
