Service bulletin SSM 50842
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a condition of intermittent headlamp operation while the vehicle is OFF and have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1533 stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to the internal logic within the headlamp switch. Switch and/or module replacement will not resolve this condition. Headlamp operation is not affected while the vehicle is ON. A new headlamp switch is currently under development to correct this condition. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment in October 2022, when parts are expected to become available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS is updated with the repair information.

| SSM 49925 | 2021-08-02. Service bulletin. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with exterior zone lighting may experience an intermittent single hazard lamp flash when hazards are off. This condition is due to the body control module (BCM) software. This condition occurs when zone lighting is activated then deactivated while the engine is OFF, or during an engine auto-start-stop event. This condition may be temporarily suppressed by activating then deactivating the zone lighting feature while the engine is running. Module replacement will not resolve this condition. Ford is currently working on a software update that is expected to be available October 2021. The customer can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for October, when repairs are expected to become available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS confirms software availability. |
