# Service bulletin TSB 22\-2220

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 55221](/bulletins/11038438.md), 2026-10-12, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. For 20222026 vehicles equipped with a 8F35 transmission, a revision to the Road Testing Vehicle procedure has been made in the WSM, Section 307\-01 \> Diagnosis and Testing. This updated procedure improves the diagnosis of customer reported transmission concerns and aids in locating the proper root cause. During diagnosis and testing, details regarding whether the condition is more prevalent when the vehicle is hot or cold, throttle percentage at the time of occurrence, vehicle speed, the specific shift involved, and whether the issue occurs during transmission engagements \(N\>R, N\>D, R\>D, and/or D\>R\) should be noted in the warranty claim. Engineering requests including these detailed operating conditions that will significantly assist with root cause analysis. Diagnosis, testing, and repair should use established labor times outside this article.
- [SSM 55215](/bulletins/11037783.md), 2026-10-02, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2022\-2024 Maverick hybrid vehicles may exhibit various electrical symptoms and/or a no crank/no start condition related to an intermittent 12V battery drain that has discharged the 12V battery. This may be due to the software in the anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) module. To correct this condition, download and run the "ABS \- Anti\-lock Brake System \(ABS\) Module Software Update" and "ACCM \- Air Conditioning Control Module \(ACCM\) Software Update" applications using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) scan tool. For claiming use causal part 2005 and labor operations 10654C and 12651D along with MT2005SSM up to 0.7 hours for the ABS, ACCM, PCM, and SOBDMC as needed.
- [SSM 55157](/bulletins/11037313.md), 2026-09-15, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE. Some 2022\-2024 Maverick Hybrid vehicles may exhibit an intermittent vibration and/or crunching noise after a cold start while the engine is running with the vehicle stationary in drive with no throttle input and brakes applied. An intermittent engine rocking or rolling motion in one direction may also be observed while the concern is present with the hood open.\<br /\>\<br /\> The noise may be present with no drivability concerns, relevant diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) stored, warning indicators illuminated and/or warning messages displayed. The noise may reduce or be eliminated after several minutes of driving when the powertrain warms up.\<br /\>\<br /\> This condition does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in Q4 of 2026. Replacement of the engine or transmission will not resolve this condition. Monitor Professional Technician System \(PTS\) for additional information and schedule s

- [SSM 54589](/bulletins/11029595.md), 2026-03-04, Other: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2019\-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC3 may experience various connectivity concerns with The Ford App Lincoln App including but not limited to: missing activation prompt pop\-upon the vehicle's center display screen when attempting to activate vehicle through The Ford App Lincoln App, incorrect location global positioning system GPS reported through The Ford App Lincoln App, problems with remote commands being performed through The Ford App Lincoln App and or incorrect data information reported on The Ford App Lincoln App. These symptoms will be accompanied by diagnostic trouble code DTC B156D 89 in the TCU. This may be due to the accessory protocol interface module APIM software. To correct the condition, update the APIM software.
- [SSM 54519](/bulletins/11027824.md), 2026-01-27, Service bulletin: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2022\-2025 Maverick hybrid vehicles may exhibit a no crank/no start condition due to a 12V battery drain after performing the air conditioning control module \(ACCM\) software update. Engineering is aware of this symptom and is currently developing a repair which is expected to be available in late Q2 of 2026. If a vehicle comes in for this condition, submit a Global Concern Report \(GCR\) and monitor Professional Technician System \(PTS\) for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. To submit a report, click on the "Submit Global Concern Report \(GCR\)" link at the upper right of the PTS Vehicle ID screen \(VIN required\) and fill out the form. Do not use the "Report A Problem" link to submit a report for this condition.
- [TSB 25\-2454](/bulletins/11023549.md), 2025-10-02, Service bulletin: ENGINE; POWER TRAIN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit an incorrectly illuminated malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\) and an illuminated powertrain malfunction \(wrench\) indicator with a reduced engine power condition and diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) P1061 and/or P032F stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\). This may be due to the software in the PCM.
- [SSM 54140](/bulletins/11021977.md), 2025-08-19, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2021\-2024 F\-150 vehicles equipped with a B\&O audio system \(minor feature code IDBBQ\), and various 2021\-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a B\&O audio system may exhibit a pop noise and/or static in the speakers at start up that cannot be turned down or off using the audio system controls. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double\-clicking the vehicle identification number \(VIN\) in the upper left corner on Professional Technician System \(PTS\). This may be due to software in the digital signal processing \(DSP\) module. To correct this condition, reprogram the DSP module to the latest software level using the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 18B849 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4.
- [SSM 54116](/bulletins/11021803.md), 2025-08-12, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Various 2019\-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may experience a partially or fully black center display screen at start\-up using Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. This does not affect rear camera operation. This may be due to interference from the phone being connected into the media hub using a universal serial bus \(USB\) cable during SYNC system boot up. To correct his condition, advise the customer to disconnect the USB cable from the phone. If the center display screen displays normally, reconnect the phone. If the concern persists, disconnect the phone from the USB cable, cycle the ignition off and open the driver's door so the interior lights come on. Close the door, start the vehicle and wait for the center display screen to boot up past the start\-up animation and display the home screen, then reconnect the phone using the USB cable. If the concern persists after this procedure, follow normal Workshop Manual diagnostics for a blank screen concern.
