# Service bulletin TSB 22\-2118

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10211713
- Published by NHTSA: 2022\-05\-12
- Manufacturer's number: TSB 22\-2118
- Manufacturer's date: 2022\-05\-04
- NHTSA component: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; UNKNOWN OR OTHER

## NHTSA's summary

This article supersedes TSB 21\-2295 to update the Parts List. Some 2021 F\-150 vehicles built on or before 14\-June\-2021 may exhibit a rubbing noise at the front of the vehicle while driving and/or diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) C0031 and/or C0034 in the anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) module. This may be caused by an incorrectly routed front brake flexible hose. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to inspect the front brake flexible hose routing.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [ITRM\-26.DC F\-150](/bulletins/11037291.md), 2026-09-11, Over\-the\-air update: SERVICE BRAKES; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. 26C10 Recall remedy \-Addresses instances where the trailer lights and trailer brakes may not function
- [SSM 54940](/bulletins/11034019.md), 2026-06-22, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2021\-2026 F\-150 vehicles may exhibit a U2100:00 diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) for initial configuration incomplete stored in the trailer control module \(TRM\). This may be due to the vehicle having a Ford accessory trailer brake kit installed without being programmed following the included instructions. If the vehicle was built with minor feature code FDDAA and a trailer brake gain switch is present in the stock location in the instrument panel, a Ford Accessory trailer brake kit has been installed on the vehicle. If a Ford Accessory trailer brake kit is present, download and run the "TRM \- Towbar Configuration" application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) scan tool. To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double\-clicking the vehicle identification number \(VIN\) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System \(PTS\).
- [ITRM\-26.B04 F\-150](/bulletins/11031913.md), 2026-05-01, Over\-the\-air update: SERVICE BRAKES; EXTERIOR LIGHTING; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. 26C10 Recall remedy \-Addresses instances where the trailer lights and trailer brakes may not function
- [SSM 54401](/bulletins/11025819.md), 2025-12-01, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2021\-2025 F\-150 vehicles may exhibit a stuck in park condition with no diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\). This may be due to connector C211 pin push out on circuit CCB61 or an open on circuit CCB61 between the antilock brake system \(ABS\) module and the body control module \(BCM\). Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 307\-05 Automatic Transmission External Controls \> Diagnosis and Testing \> External Controls \- Pinpoint Test for "Stuck In Park" has been updated with improved diagnostics. Refer to revised WSM sections for normal diagnosis.
- [TSB 25\-2397](/bulletins/11022396.md), 2025-09-03, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES. This article supersedes TSB 22\-2214 to update labor times from M\-time to AP\-time and add a limit. Some of the vehicles listed in the model statement above may exhibit at least one of the following conditions: \- "Reverse Brake Assist Unavailable" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\) with missing active guide lines in the reverse camera display \- Diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) U0415:86 stored in the IPMA This may be due to a software issue with the anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) module.
- [TSB 25\-2380](/bulletins/11022145.md), 2025-08-26, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES. This article supersedes TSB 22\-2448 to update the Service Procedure and the labor times from M\-time to AP\-time and add a limit. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit an illuminated anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) indicator and stability\-traction control indicator with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) C1013:09 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to software in the ABS module.
- [TSB 25\-2276](/bulletins/11019705.md), 2025-06-24, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES; POWER TRAIN. This article supersedes TSB 25\-2045 to update the production fix date and add model years. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above equipped with a console gear shift module \(GSM\) may exhibit at least one of the following conditions: \* Clicking sound coming from shifter after it is placed and kept in reverse, neutral or drive position \(2024 only\) \* Shifter will not shift out of park/into park \* Shifter will not shift out of gear \* Shifter will not stow/unstow \* Shifter will move past the park position \* Loose shifter lever arm at pivot \* Illuminated powertrain malfunction \(wrench\) indicator \* DTC P0929:77, P0929:00, P0929:07 and/or P0929:9A This may be due to a faulty GSM and/or connector C211 pin push out on circuit CCB61 or an open on circuit CCB61, between the anti\-lock brake system \(ABS\) module and the body control module \(BCM\). Note: If the gear shifter lever will not shift into park, the transmission will automatically shift into park when the return to park function is triggered.
- [SSM 51590](/bulletins/10236024.md), 2023-05-16, Service bulletin: PARKING BRAKE. Some 2021\-2022 F\-150 vehicles equipped with light duty electric park brake calipers \(minor feature code FAJAK\) may exhibit a squeal noise from the rear brakes after sitting for 8 hours or more. To confirm a vehicle is built with minor feature code FAJAK, review the build information by double\-clicking the vehicle identification number in the upper left\-hand corner in the Professional Technician System \(PTS\). To correct this condition, replace rear brake disc \(ML1Z\-2C026\-C\) and rear brake pads, caliper pin bolts, and brake pad holding clips \(ML3Z\-2200\-E\) on both sides of the vehicle. Refer to Workshop Manual Section 206\-04 Rear Disc Brake. For claiming, use causal part number 2552 and applicable labor times from Section 02 of the Service Labor Times Standard Manual. NOTE: Using incorrect service parts on the braking system could impair brake performance.
