Service bulletin RCA-78-22-006-1
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with a low clearance condition between the left front frame harness and the steering column intermediate shaft. If the frame harness touches the steering column intermediate shaft and this condition persists over time, the vehicle may experience a wear-through condition of the wires in the frame harness. The wear-through condition, which has not been observed to date in any customer vehicle, would only result if the frame harness length is near the limits of the specification and the nearby harness that normally constrains the frame harness is misrouted. The potential wear-through condition may result in a loss of electronic stability control. If loss of electronic stability control occurs, the vehicle will enter a reduced performance safe-state mode and an "Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system malfunction" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed on their vehicle. Rivian will install a cable tie to ensure clearance between the frame harness and the steering column intermediate shaft. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

| RSB-56-25-002-2 | 2026-08-07. Service bulletin. Rivian is launching a technical service bulletin for some model year 2022-2024 R1T and R1S vehicles that might have bubbles in the painted surfaces below the exterior door handles. On these vehicles, adhesive that secures an inner door reinforcement could allow contaminants to corrode the inner surface of the door over time, affecting the visual appearance of the door surface. Upon customer complaint, Rivian will repair and refinish the affected door(s). Note: This document supersedes RSB-56-25-002-1. Revision 2 updates the instructions for using the air wedge and inspecting the door panel prior to use. |

| RCA-60-23-001-1 | 2023-12-01. Service bulletin. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been builtwith hydraulic suspension jounce lines that could contact the front underbody subframe panel and/or the front wheel liners. Over time the hydraulic suspension jounce lines may rub through due to this contact. As a result, the vehicle may experience a loss of hydraulic pressure, suspension sag, increased body roll, and/ or the vehicle may enter a reduced performance safe-state mode with limited speed. If the vehicle enters a reduced performance safe-state mode, there will be a notification displayed and a malfunction indicator lamp illuminated on the driver display. Rivian will replace the front underbody panel and the front wheel liners with updated parts that will not interfere with the front hydraulic suspension jounce lines. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles. |
