Service bulletin LI82.60-P-072403

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Complaint Volume and bass level too low Cause Current sound amp (N40/3) software release. Important: • On vehicles with standard sound, the rear subwoofer (H21/35) emits the engine sound only (if equipped with M139 engine) • On vehicles with code 853 (Advanced Sound) or 810 (Premium Sound), the rear subwoofer (H21/35) emits not only the engine sound, but also entertainment sound Remedy Perform a software update of the sound amp (N40/3) to the latest available version. Note: Do not replace any parts as this will not remedy the complaint.
