Service bulletin 09-010/22

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some customers may complain about frequent low battery warning message appearing in the instrument cluster. The warning message appears when the power saving mode is activated to avoid a drained battery. Depending on the customer usage, the warning message may appear more frequently due to the condition for the power saving mode to be activated sooner and to be deactivated later. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the BCM has been modified to change the condition for the power saving mode to be activated and deactivated. *Activation of the power saving mode: The accumulated time 30 minutes has been extended to 90 minutes. *Deactivation of the power saving mode: Driving or engine running for 5 minutes has been shortened to 3 seconds.

01-010-262026-09-02. Service bulletin. This bulletin supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red text. 01-012/22 10/06/22 DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may exhibit accumulation of dried coolant (1) around the water pipe (2). This is caused by a gap between the housing and pipe due to a press fitting during the manufacturing process. The accumulated coolant is solidified and plugs the gap in high temperature environment and the seepage is stopped and does not progress. This is normal and does not require a part replacement, clean off the dried coolant from around the pipe with a wire brush. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify the customer concern. 2. If the above condition is experienced, remove the accumulated coolant around the pipe (1) with a wire brush etc. NOTE: Perform the procedure on the vehicle. No need to remove the water pipe and hoses.
06-001-262026-08-04. Service bulletin. DESCRIPTION Some customers may complain that the electric power steering warning light illuminates after engine start and DTC U2011:1C is stored. Zinc-plated whisker may form inside the EPS motor and trigger the DTC. However, since it is cleared when power is supplied during DTC detection, normal operation can be restored by turning the ignition OFF and then ON. Furthermore, there is no possibility of recurrence. This case may be resolved through a simple inspection or repair without the need for parts replacement, potentially avoiding unnecessary customer waiting time.
