NHTSA's summary
Altec has developed gauges to facilitate the inspection for bearing wear on the upper boom drive mechanism walking links on All LRIV, LRV, LR7, LR8, and MT66-E76 aerial devices. Kits are now available containing a gauge and instructions for its use. The maintenance manuals for these models will be revised for future unit production and available on Altec Connect for units in the field.
