# Service bulletin SSM 50566

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Published by NHTSA: 2022\-03\-15

## NHTSA's summary

Some 2022 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may need to perform A/C leak detection diagnostics. The 2022 Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 412\-00 for A/C leak detection diagnosis is incomplete and is in the process of being updated. At this time, Pinpoint Test AN of Section 412\-00 in the 2022 F\-150 WSM can be used temporarily for the service procedure and specifications. Use the correct vehicle specific removal and replacement sections as needed. A new labor operation 19700A45 has also been released to align with the new procedure.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 52476](/bulletins/10254138.md), 2024-05-03, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. All accessory stick\-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated \(wired\) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System \(DPES\); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com \> Parts and Service \> Parts Product Line Information \> Keys/Entry Devices \> Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.
- [TSB 24\-2106](/bulletins/10253891.md), 2024-05-02, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. Some 2022\-2023 Mustang convertible vehicles may exhibit a convertible top that requires extra effort to latch. This may be due to the convertible top assembly that is out of specification.
- [SSM 52373](/bulletins/10252636.md), 2024-04-04, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT; VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. Some 2020\-2024 Aviator vehicles equipped with auto air refresh option \(minor feature code G1DAG\) may exhibit a buzzing/clicking/humming/ticking sound from the OHC and/or diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) P24AE in the heating ventilation and air conditioning \(HVAC\) module. To confirm if a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double\-clicking the vehicle identification number \(VIN\) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System \(PTS\). If diagnostics lead to the in\-vehicle temperature and humidity sensor as the causal part, a new lower level part is available. It is not necessary to replace the OHC assembly if only the sensor is suspect. Use part number L1MZ\-19F666\-A to resolve the concern.

Some 2021\-2023 Mustang Mach\-E vehicles may exhibit a wind noise from the exterior mirror/A\-pillar area when driving at or above 64 km/h \(40 mph\).
