Service bulletin N222358870

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Certain vehicles may have a condition where the knuckle to bearing O-rings were assembled in the incorrect position. The damaged O-rings could allow the static torque to relax and cause loosening of clamp load on the joints. Long term this condition could potentially lead to a failure of the knuckle bearing joints. Dealers are to disassemble knuckles and bearings and reassemble with new O-rings and shields in the correct position.
