This may be due to wear between the input shaft and the E clutch hub causing the input shaft O\-rings to become damaged resulting in an open E clutch circuit. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the E clutch hub and input shaft O\-rings.
- [TSB 23\-2077](/bulletins/10233589.md), 2023-04-04, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE \(TCM/PCM/TECM\); BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE. Some 2022 F\-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\) with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) U3012 stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\). This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM and transmission control module \(TCM\).
- [TSB 22\-2450](/bulletins/10226943.md), 2022-12-02, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:SHAFT:OUTPUT; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2022 F\-Super Duty vehicles built on or before 31\-Jul\-2022 equipped with a 10R140 automatic transmission may exhibit a fluid leak from the selector shaft seal. This may be caused by a crack in the manual shaft. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the manual shaft, the manual shaft\-to\-sensor roll pin and the selector shaft seal.
- [SSM 50977](/bulletins/10216961.md), 2022-08-02, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE \(TCM/PCM/TECM\); EQUIPMENT; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY:FILLER PIPE AND CAP; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE \(TCM/PCM/TECM\). Some 2021\-2022 F\-Super Duty and 2021\-2023 E\-Series vehicles equipped with a 6.2L or 7.3L gasoline engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\) with diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) P0457 stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\). This may be due to a loose fuel filler cap. The fuel filler cap design has changed, requiring multiple turns to seal properly. Advise the customer to turn the fuel filler cap clockwise until there is at least one audible click to seal properly. For further diagnostics, refer to Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 303\-13 \- pinpoint test HX.
- [SSM 50712](/bulletins/10210800.md), 2022-05-03, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Some 2022 F\-Super Duty four\-wheel drive \(4WD\) pickup vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit a momentary, slight grinding type noise prior to the 4\-3 downshift while coasting without the brakes applied. This condition does not affect vehicle durability. Replacement of the transmission or other components will not resolve this condition and engineering is currently working on a solution which is expected to be available by June 2022. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow\-up appointment for June 2022. Monitor OASIS for updates and confirm that the service appointment is going forward once the repair becomes available.
- [SSM 50636](/bulletins/10209384.md), 2022-03-29, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT. 2011\-2022 F\-Super Duty and 2016\-2023 F\-650/F\-750 vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an elevated idle condition. During prolonged idle time, vehicles may experience this elevated idle to reduce unburned hydrocarbons from the SCR. The powertrain control module estimates hydrocarbon levels in the SCR and may increase idle speed to remove them. Idle speed will be increased to 1000 RPM for ambient temperatures near 26°C \(80°F\) and may increase to 1200 RPM at \-40 °C \(\-40°F\). Vehicles may exhibit exhaust smoke and diesel exhaust fluid smell during elevated idle condition. Exhaust smoke and smell condition will not affect reliability or durability of the engine. Power take\-off \(PTO\) use and idle set point control will disable elevated speed. It is required that the operator monitor the vehicle and adhere to any Exhaust Filter warning messages.
- [SSM 50564](/bulletins/10208834.md), 2022-03-08, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE \(TCM/PCM/TECM\); EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL. Some 2020\-2022 F\-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\), lack of power, and/or excessive turbo noise during operation, with diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) P003A, P0045, P0046, P0047, P0048, P0234, P0237, P0238, P132A, P2564, P2565, P2598, P259E, and/or P259F stored in the powertrain control module. If Workshop Manual \(WSM\) diagnostics lead to turbocharger variable vane actuator replacement, service part LC3Z\-9G488\-A has been released for service. Replacement of the turbocharger assembly is no longer required.
- [SSM 50549](/bulletins/10208829.md), 2022-03-08, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE \(TCM/PCM/TECM\). Some 2018\-2020 F\-150, 2017\-2022 F\-Super Duty and 2016\-2022 F\-650/F\-750 vehicles equipped with a diesel engine may exhibit diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) P0000 stored in the powertrain control module \(PCM\) after an on\-demand self test. This DTC is due to a processing error in the PCM as a result of on\-demand self testing. P0000 is an invalid DTC that will not illuminate the malfunction indicator lamp \(MIL\) and no repairs should be performed.
- [SSM 50260](/bulletins/10203854.md), 2021-12-07, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER; POWER TRAIN; POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION:LUBRICANT. Some 2020\-2022 F\-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 10R140 automatic transmission may exhibit a delayed engagement into drive and/or reverse on initial start\-up. The condition may occur at times after sitting over night or for a couple of days. This may be due to the transmission fluid draining back from the torque converter. This is a normal characteristic of the 10R140 transmission and has no effect on durability, do not attempt to repair. Advise the customer to allow more time after first engine start\-up and before shifting into gear allowing time for the torque converter to refill.
