# Service bulletin TSB 22\-2018

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin

## NHTSA's summary

Some 2021 Broncos may exhibit a whistle noise coming from the front center of the vehicle and/or the climate control housing. This may be due to the sealing on the climate control case. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to apply butyl tape to cover small holes in the fresh air inlet door.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 54961](/bulletins/11034139.md), 2026-06-29, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021\-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a condition where short drop windows, window bounce\-back, and/or one\-touch close does not operate properly. This may be due to loss of window initialization. Replacement or reprogramming of the DDM, PDM, and/or any other components may not resolve these conditions. The short drop windows feature may be restored by performing a reset procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual \> Windows \> Using Short Drop Windows \> Resetting Short Drop Windows. If the customer is experiencing an inability to fully close the window due to repeated bounce\-back events, the window bounce\-back feature may be overridden by performing an override procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual \> Windows \> Window Bounce\-Back \> Overriding Windows Bounce\-Back. The one\-touch feature may be restored by performing a reset procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual \> Windows \> Opening and Closing the Windows \> Resetting One\-Touch Close. These symptoms may return after a successful reset/override of the feature. Show the customer where they can find these procedures in the Digital Owner’s Manual so they can have the option to perform the procedures on their own should any of these symptoms return. Inform customers that engineering is aware of these conditions and working on a solution which is expected to be available by the end of Q4 2026. Monitor Professional Technician System \(PTS\) for additional information.
- [TSB 26\-2298](/bulletins/11034123.md), 2026-06-29, Service bulletin: VISIBILITY/WIPER; STRUCTURE:BODY; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. This article supersedes 25\-2551. Reason for update: to correct the descriptions for the liftgate glass weather seals. Some of the vehicles listed in the model statement above may exhibit paint wearing along on the top inner edge of the tailgate where the rear window weather strip contacts the tailgate. This may be due to the accumulation of dirt between the rear window seal and tailgate.
- [SYNC\-25.1.7.10.1 Bronco](/bulletins/11030471.md), 2026-04-02, Over\-the\-air update: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; VISIBILITY/WIPER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. "25S49 Recall Remedy: \-Infotainment software update to address frozen screens"
- [SYNC\-25.2.1.6.5.2 Bronco](/bulletins/11029001.md), 2026-02-25, Over\-the\-air update: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; VISIBILITY/WIPER. Quality Improvements Include: \- Bug Fixing and Feature improvements. \- Resolves black screen issue caused when there is no SiriusXM disk space.
- [SSM 53981](/bulletins/11020052.md), 2025-07-02, Service bulletin: VISIBILITY/WIPER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some 2021\-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a rattle from the front windows with the windows placed in the partially down position and driving over rough roads and/or bumps. This may be due to the interface between the window glass and the body mounted glass run. To correct this condition, replace the body mounted glass runs using the body mounted glass run kit \(3 door: M2DZ\-9821597\-E, and 5 door: M2DZ\-7821597\-F\) which contains updated seals for improved sealing performance. For claiming, use causal part 9821597/7821597 and labor operations 23943A and 23943A19 in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.
- [SSM 53962](/bulletins/11019701.md), 2025-06-24, Service bulletin: STRUCTURE:BODY; VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021\-2025 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a water leak from the A\-pillar, overhead console/upfitter switches and/or sun visors. If a leak is identified from this area, refer to Workshop Manual \(WSM\), Section 501\-18 Pinpoint Test \(PPT\) G for water leak diagnosis. If the PPT leads to the replacement of the header seal, a revised header seal has been released for service \(M2DZ\-7803110\-H\) which contains a thicker consistent bead of butyl across the entire length of the seal. The header seal will need to be firmly depressed and massaged to make sure all of the butyl that is across the entire header seal will properly adhere to the body, creating a water\-tight seal. For claiming, use causal part 7803110 and labor operation 03110A in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.
- [SSM 53814](/bulletins/11018592.md), 2025-05-27, Service bulletin: VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021\-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a water leak from the a\-pillar, overhead console/upfitter switches and/or sun visors
- [TSB 25\-2212](/bulletins/11018528.md), 2025-05-21, Service bulletin: VISIBILITY/WIPER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a repeat loss of window initialization which results in a loss of short drop and/or one\-touch up and one\-touch down feature operation. This may be due to a recent short drop enhancement that is contained in the driver door module \(DDM\) and passenger door module \(PDM\) software.
- [SSM 52476](/bulletins/10254138.md), 2024-05-03, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT. All accessory stick\-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated \(wired\) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System \(DPES\); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com \> Parts and Service \> Parts Product Line Information \> Keys/Entry Devices \> Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.
- [TSB 24\-2080](/bulletins/10252558.md), 2024-04-03, Service bulletin: STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS; STRUCTURE; EQUIPMENT. This article supersedes 23\-2024 to update parts list to include rivets. Some 2021\-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a factory soft top roof may exhibit a headliner that is detaching from the soft top material. This may be due to the factory installation process.
