On certain vehicles, the front passenger seat belt assembly may contain a defective automatic locking retractor (ALR). As a result, the seat belt may not properly lock to secure a child seat. A seat belt that is not properly locked could prevent a child seat from being properly secured, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.
