Service bulletin TSB180009

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution to loose or incorrectly positioned charge air cooler clamps and breached aftertreatment diesel particulate filter (DPF) in Navistars. Extended naturally aspirated engine run time causes accelerated soot build up on aftertreatment DPF. This is a revision to a previously submitted communication.
