# Service bulletin SSM 50218

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Some 2021\-2022 F\-650/750, 2020\-2022 Motorhome/Commercial Stripped Chassis vehicles built on or before 20\-Sep\-2021 with very low miles may experience parking brake drag. This condition typically occurs in less than 3000 miles \(4800 kilometers\). This condition may be identified even with the hand or pedal actuator mechanism disengaged. Inspect the park brake system for damage and replace parts as required per Workshop Manual \(WSM\) Section 206\-05. If no damage if found, adjust the park brake cables and the park brake shoe adjuster per WSM, Section 206\-05. For claiming, use the applicable labor operations of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.
