# Service bulletin SSM 50127

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10201594
- Published by NHTSA: 2021\-09\-28
- Manufacturer's number: SSM 50127

## NHTSA's summary

Some 2021 Edge/Nautilus customers may receive multiple warning messages in the FordPass app and the vehicle may exhibit multiple warning indicators in the IPC, power liftgate inoperative, power windows inoperative, and/or climate control inoperative. The vehicle may also set multiple DTCs related to MS1, HS1, HS3 network concerns including B00D5:01 and B1202:01 setting in the restraints control module \(RCM\) and various other modules. This may be due to a software concern in the gateway module \(GWM\). To correct the condition, use the latest version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) to reprogram the GWM to the latest software level. For claiming, use casual part 14G490 and the applicable labor operations of Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards \(SLTS\) Manual.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [SSM 55031](/bulletins/11035269.md), 2026-07-28, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2021\-2026 Ford/Lincoln vehicles may exhibit various symptoms including but not limited to the auto start/stop system not operating as intended with a "Check Charging System" message in the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\) while the charging system is operating properly with no charging related diagnostic trouble codes \(DTC\) stored. This may be due to someone using an aftermarket programmer to change the body control module \(BCM\) configuration to disable the auto start/stop system or perform other unsupported programming modifications. To correct this condition on F\-150 and Bronco vehicles, download and run the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\) application titled "BCM\-Charging System Configuration Correction". Running this application will determine if the BCM configuration was modified by the customer and if so, provide the option to return the configuration back to factory settings. For other vehicle models exhibiting concerns related to unsupported aftermarket BCM programming, submit a Technical Support Request \(TSR\) requesting support to revert the BCM configuration
- [SSM 55028](/bulletins/11035267.md), 2026-07-28, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2021\-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles may exhibit an "Updating SYNC" message on the vehicle center display screen after an over the air \(OTA\) update. The message can be cleared from the center display screen and SYNC can be used normally, but it will re\-appear at every subsequent ignition cycle. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a software update solution for this condition to be delivered OTA expected in late Q3 2026. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings. Monitor Professional Technician System \(PTS\) for additional information.
- [ECG\-26.2.11.4.1 Nautilus](/bulletins/11035255.md), 2026-07-28, Over\-the\-air update: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Quality improvements include: \- Enhanced system performance, disk usage limits and memory monitoring
- [TSB 26\-2297](/bulletins/11034134.md), 2026-06-29, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some of the vehicles listed in the model statement above equipped with SYNC4 may experience a blank center display screen or black center display after welcome animation. The rear\-view camera will still function when shifting the vehicle to reverse under these conditions.
- [ECG\-26.2.11.4.1 Edge](/bulletins/11033809.md), 2026-06-13, Over\-the\-air update: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Quality improvements include: \- Enhanced system performance, disk usage limits and memory monitoring
- [SYNC\-26.2.0.16.2 Edge](/bulletins/11031651.md), 2026-04-28, Over\-the\-air update: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. 26S09 Recall Remedy \-Update to enable rearview camera image to display when in reverse after infotainment screen thermal shutdown
- [SSM 54773](/bulletins/11031632.md), 2026-04-28, Service bulletin: UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2021\-2023 Nautilus vehicles may exhibit inoperative phone as a key and no communication with the remote function actuator \(RFA\) module. There may also be diagnostic trouble code \(DTC\) U0214 stored in various modules for loss of communication with the RFA module. To correct the condition, remove the RFA fuse \(F19\) located in the body control module \(BCM\). After one minute, reinstall the fuse to re\-establish communication with the RFA module. Reprogram the RFA module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System \(FDRS\). For claiming, use causal part 14G617 and labor operations 12651D and 12651D4.
- [SSM 54720](/bulletins/11031263.md), 2026-04-10, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION. Various 2020\-2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with blind spot information system \(BLIS\) may experience an inoperative blind spot monitoring with a "Blind Spot System Fault" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster \(IPC\). This may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes \(DTCs\) B118C:11 and/or B118C:15 stored in the driver door module \(DDM\), and/or B118D:11 and/or B118D:15 stored in the passenger door module \(PDM\). This may be due to the wiring connector from the mirror to the BLIS module. If diagnostics lead to an internal mirror wiring harness fault, a new lower level BLIS light pigtail is now released for service. It is not necessary to replace the exterior mirror assembly. Use part number SC3Z\-14A411\-B to resolve the concern.
- [SYNC\-25.1.7.10.1 Nautilus](/bulletins/11030580.md), 2026-04-02, Over\-the\-air update: VISIBILITY/WIPER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. "25S49 Recall Remedy: \-Infotainment software update to address frozen screens"
- [SYNC\-25.1.7.10.1 Edge](/bulletins/11029354.md), 2026-03-03, Over\-the\-air update: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; VISIBILITY/WIPER. "25S49 Recall Remedy: \-Infotainment software update to address frozen screens"
