# Service bulletin Bayliner Service

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

When a Karavan model USTM\-6000\-TDB10\-78 is packaged under a Bayliner model Element XR7 we?ve discovered there is too great of a distance between the outboard motor skeg \(motor tilted UP/tow position\) and the trailer taillights. This distance is greater than certain state laws allow. We have created a new bunk kit which will include another set of taillights mounted to the end of the carpeted bunk. With the new bunk kit installed, the distance between the outboard motor skeg \(motor tilted UP/tow position\) and the trailer taillights will be an acceptable distance
