Blue iQ® Fault Code 7291 Diagnostic Procedure. Fault Code 7291 is triggered when the Blue iQ? Fuel System Control Module \(FSCM\) detects average thermistor temperature below \-45°C \(\-49°F\). This value is the average of the temperature readings reported by Thermistor 1 and Thermistor 2 calculated in real time.\* \*If one thermistor exhibits a shorted/open circuit, the FSCM ignores the faulty thermistor reading and assigns this value to the valid thermistor reading.
