Service bulletin 1STtsb1866282021

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Airstream has discovered that early 2021 Model Year units were shipped with Magnum MMS1012-G Inverter/Charger's designed for AGM batteries, instead of the proper ā€œLā€ series inverters designed for use with lithium batteries. While the incorrect inverters are not harmful to the lithium batteries, the affected vehicles would not be getting maximum charging to the batteries. This procedure is set up to make sure the proper MMS1012-G ā€œLā€ Series inverters are installed, and if not, it outlines the process for swapping out the inverter.
