## NHTSA's summary

Supply chain shortage notice. Model Year 2022 Freightliner, Western Star, Freightliner Custom Chassis, and Thomas Built Bus vehicles manufactured with the following engines have been built without a Particulate Matter \(PM\)/Soot sensor: •DD15 Gen 5 \(Gats 2.0\) \(with a June 2021 or later GHG build date\) •DD13 Gen4 \(1\-box\) \(with a June 2021 or later GHG build date\) •Cummins B6.7 \(with a June 2021 or later GHG build date\) •Cummins X15 with ratings of 400\-500HP \(with a June 2021 or later GHG build date\) As a result, the vehicle has a non\-conforming On\-Board Diagnostic \(OBD\) system. The engine manufacturers will pay to install the OBD PM sensor and corresponding software through a recall once sensors become available.
