Service bulletin E112

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Software Update for DEF Decomposition Pipe Fault - This is a Fix as Fail repair - has determined on vehicles manufacured with a PACCAR MX013 EPA 2013 model year 2013 or 2014 engine, that certain DEF decomposition pipes may not promote adequaste DEF mixing, thereby leading to over dose and NH3 (aMMONIA) SLIP, which in turn can trigger fault code P3818.
