# Service bulletin ITB14012

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- NHTSA id: 10192331
- Published by NHTSA: 2021\-05\-10
- Manufacturer's number: ITB14012

## NHTSA's summary

SERVICE INFORMATION When a BCM is replaced for any reason, TPMS \(Tire Pressure Monitor System\) configuration must be performed. TPMS configuration is in addition to any other BCM configurations that may be performed. If TPMS configuration is not performed, TPMS transmitter ID registration will not complete. Follow the Service Procedure in this bulletin to perform TPMS configuration. See this bulletin for further detail.

- [ITB14038](/bulletins/10192416.md), 2021-05-10, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:BODY CONTROL MODULE/BCM; EQUIPMENT. SERVICE INFORMATION When replacing a BCM for any reason and the original BCM?s configuration cannot be accessed with CONSULT\-III plus \(C\-III plus\), the new BCM must be manually configured. Configuration settings are not "spelled out" in C\-III plus. For example, under Intelligent Key Type the designation "0" is used in place of "without I\-KEY". Currently, the Electronic Service Manual \(ESM\) does not have a definition chart. The ESM will be updated with this information. Updated ESMs will be distributed to the field as quickly as possible. Until the updated ESMs are made available, please use the chart on the next page to assist in performing a manual configuration on the applied vehicles listed above. See this bulletin for further detail.
- [ITB13034A](/bulletins/10192268.md), 2021-05-10, Service bulletin: TIRES; TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS; EQUIPMENT. SERVICE INFORMATION As of the publication date of this bulletin, the 2014 Q50 and Q50 Hybrid require the use of CONSULT\-III plus to perform the TPMS \(Tire Pressure Monitoring System\) ID registration procedure. TPMS ID registration can be performed using one of the following procedures: \- Transmitter Activation tool \(J\-45295\-A\) with CONSULT\-III plus \(preferred method\) \- Signal Tech II \(J\-50190\) with CONSULT\-III plus NOTE: As of the publication date of this bulletin, Signal Tech II cannot be used on its own \(without CONSULT\-III plus\) to perform TPMS registration. Software updates for Signal Tech II will be available at a later date. Use the TPMS ID registration instructions in this bulletin as needed. NOTE: Tire Pressure Sensor Activation Tool J\-45295 will not work on the 2014 Q50 or Q50 Hybrid. See this bulletin for further detail.
- [ITB20\-003](/bulletins/10172177.md), 2020-03-06, Service bulletin: WHEELS; TIRES:VALVE; TIRES:PRESSURE MONITORING AND REGULATING SYSTEMS. 2014\-2020 Q50 AND 2017\-2020 Q60; TPMS SENSOR LEAKING AIR IF YOU CONFIRM The vehicle has the original equipment wheels and TPMS sensors \(tire pressure sensors\) installed. AND The owner states that one or more tires has a continuous air leak or looses air pressure multiple times over a 30 day period \(approximatively 1 psi every 3 days\). NOTE: The TPMS warning lamp may be ON \(not flashing\) with one or more of the following DTCs stored: • \- C1704, C1705, C1706, C1707, C1730, C1731, C1732, C1733 • \- If the TPMS warning lamp is flashing for more than one \(1\) minute this bulletin does not apply.
