# Service bulletin NTB13050

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NOTE: \- The issue of all I\-Key "hands free" functions not working may occur intermittently or all the time. \- The message "No Key Detected" or similar may show on the Vehicle Information Display \(located in the combination meter\). \- All I\-Key remote button functions \(door lock/unlock, etc.\) WILL work normally when all I\-Key "hands free" functions are NOT working. ACTION 1. Inspect the I\-Key?s battery on its negative contact side. 2. If excessive scratching is found, replace the battery. 3. Verify all I\-Key functions \(both "hands free" and remote\) work properly after battery replacement. NOTE: Do NOT replace the BCM, I\-Key, or other parts for the issue described under IF YOU CONFIRM, if it should occur. See this bulletin for further detail.

SERVICE INFORMATION This bulletin has compiled Tire Pressure Monitor System \(TPMS\) and Low Tire Pressure Warning System \(LTPWS\) information for: \- Basic diagnosing of TPMS/LTPWS systems \- Radio frequency interference causing a "No Data" \(C1708, C1709, C1710, C1711\) condition \- Sensor leaks \- Moving TPMS/LTPWS wheel assemblies from one vehicle to another and TPMS/LTPWS sensor registration \- Air pressure changes with altitude and ambient temperatures \- Aftermarket tire sealers \- Aftermarket wheels \- Inflating/deflating tires with TPMS/LTPWS sensors See this bulletin for further detail.
- [NTB15060](/bulletins/10192597.md), 2021-05-10, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES; WHEELS; BACK OVER PREVENTION; STEERING; EQUIPMENT. SERVICE INFORMATION When servicing run flat tires or low profile tires: \- Special equipment and procedures are required to avoid damage. \- Specifically, Tire Pressure Monitor transmitters \(TPMS sensors\) can be damaged when improperly dismounting and mounting tires. \- TPMS sensors becoming damaged during mounting or dismounting tires are not covered under warranty. \- To avoid such damage, ensure that the tire changer being used and the operator of the tire changer is capable of servicing run flat and low profile tires. \- Operator?s manuals for such tire changers must be followed. See this bulletin for further detail.
- [NTB12118A](/bulletins/10192378.md), 2021-05-10, Service bulletin: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC; EQUIPMENT. IF YOU CONFIRM A squeal/squeak noise is coming from the rear brakes: \- When the brakes are either hot \(after 10\-15 minutes of driving\) or cold \(after vehicle has not been driven for 2\-3 hours\), \- while moving forward or in reverse, \- at speeds less than 10 MPH, \- while traveling straight, AND \- with light to moderate brake application \(pedal pressure\). NOTE \- These are the typical conditions in which to duplicate the rear brake squeal/squeak; however, these conditions are not intended to detail all of the possible conditions in which the noise may occur. When attempting to duplicate this noise it is important to have a second person safely standing outside of the vehicle to determine if the noise is coming from the front or rear brakes. ACTION Replace the rear brake pads and the rear brake hardware kit with the parts listed in the Parts Information section of this bulletin. \- Refer to the Electronic Service Manual \(ESM\), section BR \- Brake System, for removal and installation information. See this bulletin for further detail.
