## NHTSA's summary

Please be advised that when the vehicle is equipped with an overload spring, the lower bracket assembly should be clamped onto the OVERLOAD ONLY, as shown in Figure 3. Failure to do so could, on rare occasions and under extreme loads, allow the lower bracket assem\-bly to slide forward on the leaf stack resulting in lower air spring lifting force and possible contact between the upper and lower brackets.
