Service bulletin PI1154

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Delayed 1-2 Upshift While Driving at or Below 15 Percent Throttle Condition/Concern Some customers may comment that during the first few launches after a key cycle, they experience a delayed 1-2 upshift. If the vehicle has no diagnostic codes, the delay in the 1-2 shift may be driver induced. If the vehicle has diagnostic codes, address these diagnostic codes prior to using this bulletin. On a level surface if the vehicle is launched from a stop at light throttle (less than 15%), then the throttle is closed before reaching 16 km/h (10 mph), then the throttle is opened and held to less than 15%, there could be a 1-2 upshift delay. This delay will last until the vehicle exceeds 24 km/h (15 mph) or the driver drops back to closed throttle.

PIT5206G2020-08-10. Service bulletin. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician with the steps on diagnosing and repairing vehicles that may have unwanted grade braking, reduced engine power with no Driver Information Center messages ? Brake Pedal Override Feature ?, transmission busy or frequent shifting up or down, and Diagnostic Trouble Codes P057B, P057C, and/or P057D may or may not be set. Technician will use this preliminary information to find the brake pedal position data parameters in the scan tool, and also to provide some additional diagnostic help. These issues may be caused by an incorrect brake pedal position sensor input to the engine control module. Technician will verify with the scan tool if the engine control module has the correct parameters for the brake pedal position sensor. If an engine control module brake pedal position sensor relearn is performed, the truck may be temporarily repaired until the intermittent wiring issue between the engine control module and brake pedal position sensor occurs again. On 2014 and newer trucks inspect and repair any damage to X115 and X119. On the 2014 and previous trucks inspect and repair any damage to X205.
PIP5175D2020-08-10. Service bulletin. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have a delayed engagement into drive, shudder at a launch, or the transmission is slipping when shifting into 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th gears. This may be due to loose stator support to pump cover bolts causing a leak at the stator support to pump cover gasket. Technician will check for the bolts to be loose. If any of the bolts are loose or the gasket is misaligned or leaking, the transmission pump cover must be replaced and the 1234 clutch plates should be inspected for being distressed and repaired as needed.
