Service bulletin 08-06-04-003D
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| N192210260 | 2019-12-30. Service bulletin. N192210260 - Special Coverage Adjustment - Certain vehicles that are equipped with a diesel engine (LML/LGH) may have a condition which causes an offset in the temperature sensor in the diesel-emission-reduction fluid (DEF) tank reservoir or causes the DEF heater performance to degrade. If this condition occurs, the Malfunction Indicator Light (Check Engine Light) will illuminate, the ?Service Exhaust Fluid System? or ?Service Emission System? message will be displayed, and a diagnostic trouble code related to the condition will be set. Dealers are to replace the DEF tank reservoir as necessary. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer. |

| 18287 | 2018-12-10. Service bulletin. 18287 - Special Coverage. On certain vehicles equipped with a 6.6L Duramax diesel engine (RPO LGH), the malfunction-indicator light (MIL) may illuminate due to soot build-up in the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler. This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 10 years or 120,000 miles (193,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership. Dealers are to replace the EGR cooler. |

| PIP5198A | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that may have Service messages in the Driver Information Center, Malfunction Indicator Lamp on, Erratic fluctuating engine oil pressure gauge, engine crank no start, and engine may run rough or misfire. Technician may find Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Technician should use published Service Information diagnostics for the Diagnostic Trouble Codes that are set. If the diagnosis does not lead to a resolution check for chafing of the engine wiring harness that is routed near the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve. Technician should repair any damaged wiring and fully seat the wire retaining harness. Also the technician should bend the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve gasket over to prevent a re-occurrence. |
| PIP5168C | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician on the steps to diagnose and repair vehicles that may have a no crank concern. Technician will need to check the valve train for movement when the engine is cranked. If the valve train is not moving while the crankshaft is moving the front cover will need to be removed to inspect for a sheared cam sprocket locator pin. If the cam sprocket locator pin has sheared, replace the engine assembly. If the valve train is rotating during inspection, disconnect the Camshaft Position sensor and check if the engine will start. If the engine starts front cover will need to be removed to inspect for a sheared cam sprocket locator pin. If the cam sprocket locator pin has sheared, replace the engine assembly. If the engine does not start with the Camshaft Position sensor disconnected the follow published ?Engine Cranks But Does Not Run? diagnosis in Service Information. Also perform an Engine Compression Test and Cylinder Leakage Test in Service Information documents all results. If the Service Information procedures above isolate an engine mechanical concern then removed to inspect for a sheared cam sprocket locator pin. If the cam sprocket locator pin has sheared, replace the engine assembly. |
