NHTSA's summary
Certain Meritor WABCO ABS ECU?s must be programmed by Meritor & shipped as individual units. Because there is no J1939 connection, these ECU?s are not able to be programmed on the vehicle at the dealership. These specific ECU?s must be ordered by calling the Hino Trucks PDC at (866) 372-4466 with the full VIN number & a dealer PO number. The VIN is required for future reference purposes.
