# Service bulletin 08\-048\-13

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Flash: Coolant Gauge Reads Incorrectly Too High This Bulletin involves updating the Instrument Panel Cluster \(IPC\) software. A customer may note that the coolant temperature gauge looks like the engine temperature is high, the needle on the gauge will be at the 3/4 mark. On further inspection the technician will find the vehicle is running at normal temperature 228 to 230F/109\-110C. After the cluster is updated the Temperature gauge will read at the 1/2 way mark, at normal operating temperature.
