## NHTSA's summary

Altec has discovered that the fiberglass upper boom on some affected units was manufactured incorrectly. This can affect the long\-term reliability of the boom. Altec requires that each unit be inspected for proper upper boom dimensional specifications. If the upper boom does not pass the inspection, it must be replaced. The inspection and any required boom replacement must be completed no later than five years from the units manufacturing date.
