# Service bulletin 04\-002\-20\-3643b

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

- Type: Service bulletin
- NHTSA id: 10182092
- Published by NHTSA: 2020\-11\-03
- Manufacturer's number: 04\-002\-20\-3643b
- Manufacturer's date: 2020\-10\-26
- NHTSA component: EQUIPMENT; SERVICE BRAKES

## NHTSA's summary

Some vehicles may exhibit a groan noise from the front brakes when braking at a very low speed \(approximately 6 mph/10 km/h\). This is caused by a brake torque variation due to an uneven coating of the brake pad friction material forming on the surface of the disc plate. To eliminate this concern, the surface processing on the disc plate has been changed.
