# Service bulletin No. 2024

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## Other bulletins for the same vehicles and component

- [No. 07\-21](/bulletins/10209767.md), 2022-04-05, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:INTERIOR/UNDER DASH. Installation and conversion instructions for the dashcam on the 718.
- [122\-P5G7U\-07](/bulletins/10143521.md), 2018-08-06, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING; ENGINE. Oil in the wiring harness. If oil is found in the engine wiring harness during a repair, the wiring harness and all the affected components \(including the oil pump control valve\) must be replaced.
- [122\-S4R2X\-07](/bulletins/10143298.md), 2018-07-30, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Subject: Outside temperature sensor Symptom: The outside temperature display shows implausible values. Cause: The outside temperature display can show implausible values because the wire harness for the outside temperature sensor is too long.
- [122\-T8S4T\-08](/bulletins/10120612.md), 2017-10-25, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Cause Incorrect wiring for rear lid release switch. Date of introduction Modified wiring is used during production from November 7, 2016. Remedial action In the event of a customer complaint, rework rear lid release switch wiring using a cable adapter.
- [122\-Y8S5J\-08](/bulletins/10120611.md), 2017-10-25, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Subject: Wire harness for PASMvalve unit Information: The wire harness for the PASM valve unit is not routed correctly in the area around the heat protection panels for the valve unit on the affected vehicles. Due to relative movements while driving and if significant amounts of dirt get in, this can cause chafing on the wire harness and as a result, faults can be entered in the fault memory and the warning "Chassis system fault" may be displayed in the instrument cluster. As a result, the vehicle level can no longer be set.
- [122\-C4Y4T\-10](/bulletins/10119305.md), 2017-10-15, Service bulletin: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Cause: The wire harness for the TPM control unit can interfere with communication between the TPM control unit and the TPM sensors. The wire harness for the TPM control unit is not routed correctly in the rear axle area. Remedial Action: The routing of the wire harness is changed using an extension of the existing harness wire.
- [122\-A2N2U\-05](/bulletins/10117415.md), 2017-09-14, Service bulletin: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:RADIATOR ASSEMBLY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Concerns: Wire harness for rear left radiator fan Information: There is a possibility that the electric wire harness for the left rear radiator fan in the engine compartment is touching a heat guide plate made of carbon fiber on the affected vehicles. If the wire harness is touching, relative movements can cause visible damage to the wire harness or the insulation on individual lines of the wire harness. Progressive damage to the wire harness can cause the radiator fan to stop working and an electric shunt circuit to the low\-resistance heat guide plate cannot be ruled out. This electric shunt circuit can cause the vehicle to go on fire even a long time after stopping the vehicle.
- [122\-Q5C4S\-06](/bulletins/10108675.md), 2017-07-28, Service bulletin: ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Issue: Oil in the wiring harness. Information: If oil is found in the engine wiring harness during a repair, the wiring harness and all the affected components \(including the oil pump control valve\) must be replaced.
- [122\-U5R2H\-09](/bulletins/10081381.md), 2016-10-04, Service bulletin: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING:FUSES AND CIRCUIT BREAKERS. "THERE IS A POSSIBILITY THAT MOISTURE CAN GET INTO THE LID OF THE REAR FUSE BOX ON THE AFFECTED VEHICLES UNDER CERTAIN ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCES. THIS CAN CAUSE MALFUNCTIONS IN THE PDK TRANSMISSION OVER THE SERVICE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. THE ERROR MESSAGE ""GEARBOX FAULT"" WILL THEN BE DISPLAYED IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER AND THE TRANSMISSION WILL SWITCH TO THE REDUCED DRIVING PROGRAMME \(LIMP\-HOME MODE\)."
