Service bulletin CSR 504

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

PTO Disabled Due to Engine Shutdown Altec has been notified of a customer satisfaction campaign by General Motors. It is possible that certain 2019–2020 model year Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD/5500HD/6500HD vehicles equipped with an aerial device may have a condition in which the aerial device operator could be stranded if the engine received a command for shut down. The vehicle is functioning as designed; however, aerial device applications were not clearly understood during the development of the power take off module (PTOM). The inspection and repair will be done by an authorized GM/Chevrolet Medium Duty Servicing dealer
