# Service bulletin Fork Cap Replace

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Your vehicle was assembled with two different, mismatched fork caps. Unfortunately the fork caps are not interchangeable and replacement of the fork leg assembly is required. The forks can be differentiated by observing the flat surface on the nut portion of the fork cap \(see photo\). The fork assemblies using a flat fork cap are no longer available.
