# Service bulletin L\-17\-02

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

Polaris has found that a limited number of EPS\-equipped vehicles were manufactured with bolts that have the incorrect thread pitch. These bolts mount the EPS module to its mounting bracket. These incorrect bolts damage the EPS unit as well as the bolts themselves. Any unit with incorrect bolts will require replacement of the bolts and the EPS unit. These bolts can be identified by their color; the correct bolts are an olive drab finish while the incorrect bolt is a yellow chromate finish.
