NHTSA's summary
This Technical Service Bulletin announces the availability of the oil pan full perimeter clamping plates on the following engine platforms: C8.3, C8.3G, C Gas Plus, ISC, QSC8.3, L Gas Plus, ISL, and QSL9. Oil pan full perimeter clamping plates distribute clamping force over the entire oil pan rail which provides greater gasket sealing ability and helps to prevent oil pan gasket leaks. This is a product improvement and is not subject to campaign.
