Service bulletin SSM 48859

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Some 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles built on or before 24-Feb-2020 may not have the instrument panel cluster (IPC) configured for operation with the Factory Invoiced Accessory (FIA) or as a Genuine Ford Accessory trailer tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The customer may indicate that they cannot monitor the trailer TPMS through the IPC when a configured trailer is connected. If the 'Trailer Tire Pressure' selection is not available in the IPC, the IPC will need to be reconfigured to make the Trailer Tire Pressure selection available. Using the latest version of the FDRS scan tool, reconfigure the IPC. For claiming use causal part 10849 and refer to Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
