Service bulletin TSB200024-042020

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution of early life turbocharger failures after a new service turbocharger has been installed, the vehicle is moved outside and put into a DPF regeneration state. During, or after the DPF regeneration, turbocharger related fault code(s) come active. Troubleshooting the fault codes finds that the turbocharger sector gear is seized. This is an update to a previously submitted communication.
