Service bulletin SB1615

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Service Information: To change tie-rod arm fixation screws on trailing axle periodically. It has come to the attention of Van Hool that the tie-rod arm fixation screws on the trailing axle have a limited life due to high mechanical loads. For that reason these tie rod arm screws must be changed every 250,000 miles or every year (whatever comes first). The maintenance schedule in the Van Hool maintenance manuals for these vehicles will be modified in that way.
