Service bulletin M520219

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

REQUIRED HARDWARE REPLACEMENTS DURING SEAT SERVICE/REPAIR. MINI Quality Monitoring shows many instances in which fasteners and hardware (e.g., seat mounting bolts, safety belt mounting bolts, especially one-time use items) are not being replaced and invoiced for seat removal repairs. This is despite their replacement being specified and required by the corresponding repair instructions. In such cases, the quality of the repair is compromised. This may possibly result with a vehicle comeback repair.

The document is the manufacturer's. This site does not hold it. NHTSA files a document at one of these two addresses; we have not asked NHTSA which.
