Service bulletin PSB2019-12A

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

Product Service Bulletin, mailed to Goodyear Company Owned Stores and Independent Goodyear Dealers in the U.S. and Canada. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is aware that some 445/50R22.5 Fuel Max SSD tires, manufactured from week 0318 through week 1319 (the 'subject tires', Note: For this campaign, 'subject tires' includes retreads and casings) have experienced crown separations that have resulted in adjustments and property damage claims. We have not had any reports of vehicle controllability issues (loss of control) or accidents. Due to the level of customer dissatisfaction we have decided to conduct this proactive Customer Satisfaction campaign to replace the subject tires. Letters will be mailed to owners of these tires in October 2019 asking them to contact an authorized Goodyear Commercial Tire and Service Network location or authorized Goodyear commercial truck tire dealer and arrange to have their tires inspected and replaced if necessary. We request your assistance in handling customers involved in this campaign. Tire Involved in the 445/50R22.5 Fuel Max SSD Customer Satisfaction Campaign: 445/50R22.5 Fuel Max SSD 756-432-773 MC1MV6BW0318 through MC1MV6BW1319
