This Preliminary information communicates to the dealer technician that the torque converters for the 10L80 and 10L90 10 speed transmission are on restriction through the Product Quality Center. Dealers are advised to contact the Product Quality Center if diagnostics has lead to replacement of the transmission torque converter.

If any of the bolts are loose or the gasket is misaligned or leaking, the transmission pump cover must be replaced and the 1234 clutch plates should be inspected for being distressed and repaired as needed.
