# Service bulletin T\-SB\-0158\-18\-Rev

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

## NHTSA's summary

TSB: REVISION NOTICE July 03, 2019 Rev1: ? Applicability has been updated to include 2020 model year Supra vehicles. ? The Hook and Loop Style section has been added. Any previous printed versions of this bulletin should be discarded. 2020 model year Toyota vehicles are equipped with driver side floor mat retainers to secure the floor mat in the correct position. In addition, some models may also utilize retainers for passenger side and rear seat floor mats. During Pre\-Delivery Service \(PDS\), follow the appropriate Installation Procedure to attach the driver side, and if applicable, the passenger side and rear seat floor mats to the vehicle carpet using the floor mat retainers. If installation instructions are included in the floor mat kit, place the instructions in the vehicle?s glove box for customer reference. CAUTION ? ALWAYS verify the floor mat is designed specifically for the model and model year it is being installed in. ? ONLY use floor mats that can be secured using the retainers. ALL OEM Toyota floor mats are specifically designed to fit correctly and be secured using the retainers. ? Make sure the floor mat is properly placed on the vehicle carpet and secured with the retainers. If the driver side floor mat is NOT properly placed and secured, it could slip and interfere with the movement of the pedals during driving and may cause an accident. ? Verify the operation of the accelerator, brake, and clutch \(if equipped\) pedals and clearance to the mat. ? NEVER install more than one floor mat at a time in the driver?s seating position. ? If applicable, ANY secondary set of floor mats \(based upon customer preference, such as the all\-weather floor mats or other floor mats\) MUST be placed in the trunk with ALL the packaging material intact. Do NOT install the secondary mat on top of the primary floor mat already installed in the driver?s seating position.

- [TSB010622](/bulletins/10252259.md), 2024-04-01, Service bulletin: EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM\(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM\); UNKNOWN OR OTHER. TSB: Some 2018 ? 2022 model year Toyota vehicles equipped with a Premium Audio with Dynamic Navigation System require a Special Service Tool \(SST\) USB flash drive to update the map, points of interest, and system software. The SST is used with applicable vehicles to deliver the update, however, the process for generating license keys differs from previous generations. Before attempting to perform a map update, the expiration date of the dynamic subscription \(stored in the head unit\), must be checked. If the expiration date has not passed, a license key may be generated without the purchase of an Activation Card Number \(ACN\). Updating the map without the use of an ACN is considered an Embedded Navigation Update \(refer to pg. 10\) and performing this update does not extend the subscription to dynamic map services. If the subscription period has expired, or is expiring within the next 90 days, it should be recommended to the customer to purchase an ACN. Utilizing an ACN, will initiate the Dynamic Navigation Update \(refer to pg. 4\). This Dynamic Navigation Update will perform the embedded navigation update and provide dynamic map services for a period of two years from the date that the Dynamic Navigation Update is performed. ACNs are provided in a pamphlet available through the normal parts ordering system. Follow the process in this bulletin to perform the update.

The PCS and DRCC systems are designed to help mitigate a potential collision and maintain a pre\-determined traveling distance. It is recommended to disable the PCS and DRCC systems on vehicles that have been modified \(ride height, oversized wheels/tires, brush bars, etc.\) in a way that potentially disrupts the functionality of these systems. Vehicle owner?s written consent is required before performing the calibration to permanently disable the PCS and DRCC systems. Follow the Repair Procedure in this bulletin to disable the PCS and DRCC systems.
