Service bulletin TSB190135-073020

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary

This Technical Service Bulletin describes the verification and resolution of fault code 36- "generator set stopped without fault condition" and/or crank but no start, B+ to the fuel pump is not present. Elevated temperatures within the generator set enclosure can cause a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) device within the control board to trip and cut off voltage to the fuel pump. The PTC device is functioning properly and is intended to cut off voltage at elevated temperatures. The device will reset, and voltage to the fuel pump will be restored once the generator set cools back down.
